The modern art that was installed on the bridge included some planters. These have not been maintained by the Council and we have had to ask for routine work to be done to keep them from getting completely taken over by weeds on many occasions.

I understand that a local community group is interested in improving the beds and I think it would be a good move if this can be done. Many people in the local community want this area to look good and would be willing to help to make this happen.

Issues such as public safety and insurance have to be considered but I hope that this will not hamper community efforts to improve South Woodford.
