Funkymojoes – the final hurdle?

by hughcleaver on 17 June, 2014

The owners of Funkymojoe went to the Court of Appeal to ask for leave to appeal against the decision of the Magistrates Court to confirm the decision of Redbridge Council’s Licensing Committee.

The Court said they could appeal, provided that they pay £127,000 into Court. This would be available to be paid to Redbridge Council against the award of costs to the Council.

This has not been done so, as far as the Council is concerned, no further action is required and the decision of the Licensing Committee comes into effect.

Well done to the local residents who have kept up the pressure for the Council to take action in this long-running saga.
